Condolence: Dear Cindy and family--I was absolutely shocked to come home after a week away and to find out that we have lost another great American and a good friend. I hope people will remember his military service to our country. He received a battlefield commission in Korea and then rose to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. That is a great accomplishment. I shall forever be grateful to him for his service as a vice principal when I was the principal at Wicomico High School from 1971-1974 before opening Parkside. Bob wa simply a superior school administrator and just great to work with. He took his job very seriously, was a great help to me and although he had a tough side to him he was also filled with a great deal of compassion. He went on to serve in the central office where again he fulfilled his duties in a superior manner. I shall always treasure the many memories I had of Bob. I recently saw him at the Eastside Deli were we had a great chat and I thought he looked pretty good. He was his jovial self and we spoke as if we had seen each other the day before. He was also married to a lovely lady and I mean that in every sense of the word. My, they were a great couple. So Bob, a great army officer, a geat school teacher and administrator and just a great man, I bid you farewell and thank you for so many great memories. It was an honor and pleasure to know you. Condolence: LTC Douglas was a great teacher and a great mentor to my son PFC Jesse Henry. He was my U.S. History teacher at Wicomico High School. He was a wonderful teacher. A few years ago my son met him and his lovely wife. My son always looked forward to seeing both of them when they would come into B&J Market. My husband and I would see LTC Douglas at the American Legion and he and my husband would talk about the Army and places they had both been. LTC Douglas will be missed but never forgotten. Sir, you are with your beautiful wife that you have missed so much. Our thoughts and prayers are with his daughter and granddaughter. R.I.P. Sir. Len & Jenny Addis

Condolence: Cynthia:
I was so sorry to read of the passing of your Dad in the Marion, IN newspaper this morning. I have always had fond memories of your parents when they would come to Marion and visit your Grandparents. I still attend Hillside Wesleyan where I am the church pianoist. If you remember Chuck (who was hurt at the church) and Estle Howard were my parents. Mom left to be in heaven May 29, 2005. Your parents and grandparents and your Aunts and Uncles are still fondly remember by those at Hillside. Though a lot have passed on, still reminders in photos in the church are there to show the family heritage the church has had. You will be in my thoughts and prayers over the next weeks as you adjust.
God Bless and keep you.
Janet (Howard) McWhirt
